Ferry service between Antigua and Montserrat has returned and making travel between Antigua and Montserrat a lot easier.
The MV Fjortof, partially owned by the Government of Antigua & Barbuda and the Government of Montserrat and operated by Twin Island Ferries Services Ltd (TIFS), will offer service all year round and will provide Montserrat with a four day ferry schedule to Montserrat from Antigua. Additional sailings to Montserrat will be arranged as required for special events and other peak traffic periods.
Round trip fares are $EC250.00 per adult.Children under 12 years old will pay EC$120.00 round trip.
Each passenger is allowed 2 pieces of baggage free of charge and any additional baggage is charged EC $50.00 per piece. Cargo subject to load is charged at EC$0.50 per lb. The minimum freight is EC $50.00. Persons wishing to ship cargo should report with the necessary Customs export documents 2 hours before the scheduled departure.
To facilitate ticketing, check-in and other clearances at the point of sale at the ports, passengers are required to CHECK-IN 60 minutes before the schedule time for departure. NO ADVANCE TICKETING IS REQUIRED. The Ferry leaves Antigua from the Deep Water Harbour in St.John’s and enters the Port of Little Bay in Montserrat.
